Dishes Of Yesteryear

It was in the early 1950s, when Donna Elvira, occupied at her stove, from her “window to the sea” at the Historical Residence La Corallina, waited for the fishing boats returning to the harbour of S. Marco to ensure the best of the catch, to serve to her guests. Today, with the same spirit, “Donna Elvira Restaurant” intends to keep alive the memory and the dishes of Cilento’s tradition thanks to raw materials that, skilfully orchestrated by the hands of our chefs, give life to a symphony of taste and gastronomic refinement, with a careful eye to culinary novelties, offering a complete experience of the flavours of the territory of Castellabate and Cilento.

Today, as in the past, the sea provides us the main raw materials for the preparation of our dishes, preferring local, zero-miles fish, caught mainly by the fishing boats returning from fishing at the port of San Marco.
